Love Shack

On February 17th, the new Ravyn & Robyn room was transformed into the Love Shack Speakeasy. Guests dressed in flapper dresses and 3 piece suits entered through the nondescript entrance into the dimly lit room where The Little Big Band Group played classics like "Sing, Sing, Sing", "Pennsylvania 6-5000", and many others. In a side room around the corner, the bartender from The Perfect Pour served era-appropriate drinks including Old Fashions, French 75s, and Maidens Prayers throughout the night. The only beers served that night were beers that were available in the 30's. As the swing band played, the guests had opportunities to participate in the swing dance contest, the winner of which would win a gift card to Ravyn & Robyn restaurant next door. Once the band started playing "Sing, Sing, Sing", a number of guests led their partners to the dance area and displayed a variety of different swing steps. After the song concluded, the best swing dancer was announced and a bottle of wine from Ravyn & Robyn was awarded to the best outfit worn that night. The Love Shack Speakeasy was a fascinating experience and a noteworthy introduction to Ravyn & Robyn's new addition.
